David MacIsaac is a partner at Schall Brown & Schwartz LLP, where he leads the firm’s case development group.  He primarily focuses on investigating, developing, and prosecuting stockholder class and derivative actions involving alleged fiduciary misconduct by directors, officers, and controlling stockholders.

David began his career at a leading national law firm, where he practiced general commercial litigation and represented directors and officers in securities and corporate governance matters.  He later practiced at two leading stockholder litigation firms, where he contributed to major corporate governance cases as part of teams serving as lead or co-lead counsel.

  • In re McKesson Corporation Derivative Litigation (later settled for $175 million and governance reforms)
  • In re Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. Stockholders Litigation ($125 million class settlement)
    Ontario Provincial Council of Carpenters’ Pension Trust Fund v. Walton (later settled for $123 million and governance reforms)
    In re Pattern Energy Group Inc. Stockholders Litigation ($100 million class settlement)
    City of Monroe Employees’ Retirement System v. Murdoch ($90 million derivative settlement and creation of the Fox News Workplace Professionalism and Inclusion Council)
    Nantahala Capital Partners II Limited Partnership v. QAD Inc. (later settled for $65 million)
    In re Coty Inc. Stockholder Litigation ($35 million class and derivative settlement and governance reforms)
    Macomb County Employees’ Retirement System v. McBride ($30 million derivative settlement)
